Evening all.....we're off to Hebden Bridge this weekend (well Sunday afternoon-Tuesday morning)

Hoping to ride on the Monday. Nothing too far or gnar is the order of the day for my gf, whom isn't exactly the meanest cyclist! We did Tissington Trail, High Peak Trail and back via a B road to Ashbourne today....about 50km and it was about perfect in terms of distance and skill required!

Anything similar to be had in Hebden Bridge area? It's a part of the world that is totally undiscovered to me as of yet! I can read a map etc but don't have/use a GPS or anything like that.

Also, any pub/bar/restaurant recommendations with a decent outside area would be much appreciated.

Mary townley loop

Its a tough day out but you can cut bits out. It's a good place to start.

There's a circular route on the National Trails website, which might suit your GF
Hebden Loop
Basically it's a short chunk of the Mary Towneley Loop, between Walsden and Hebden Bridge, linked by a section of the Rochdale canal

You can probably piece together a route from the GritCX bike test routes. Or ask the guys at GritCX for help?

Or here's another good one, again using a bit of the Mary Towneley:

Will have a look at that....full MT is definitely not her idea of a fun day out from what I've read of it! Like the idea of popping a bit of it though as long as it's not technical!

Just got the OL21 map so will try and piece something together.

You can easily combine the 2 routes Esme posted into a nice day on the gravel bike with a cafe stop along the way

Just seen that our site is in Cragg Vale, so I reckon combining those two loops with a cafe and pub stop will be just the ticket.

I’d heartily recommend the pork pies from Craggies cafe, just over half way up Cragg Vale (there’s only really one proper turning on the left as you head up, it’s that one).

No route advice, sorry.
