A zip up cardigan?

A trip to TK Max will reveal any number of merino jumpers, made of the same stuff as the bikey ones.

Helly Hansen Warm Freeze is excellent imo.

Its Lifa on the inside & Merino wool on the outside, nice & toasty! 🙂

crikey, I had a moment of realisation last week about TK Maxx. I have two Jon Smedley jobs that I picked up for £30 a piece. One of them is bound for bike duty.

TK Maxx in Manchester had some IceBreaker Full Zip tops in the other day, still £149 but were heavyweight and very nice looking, over my budget though. Might be worth trying your local one...

All my icebreaker stuff had got holes in it from very little wear. The howies stuff that gets abused with mud, grit and my smelly Arse wearing it seems to have survived through it all. Anyone else seen that?
Personally would go for howies Merino at whatever weight.

HH Warm as above - awesome.
Mrs_OAB has a Patagonia expedition weight capeline, that too is silly warm and wicking.

Icebreaker. I own lots and they last 10yrs+. Wear to work all weekend throughout winter. 240gm? Sounds right for you.

My 240gm one- is black with white stripes on the arms. Any winter riding pic has me in this top 🙂
