We have just taken delivery of a new heat pump tumble drier. They are meant to be efficient. It was bought from John Lewis and in true STW fashion is even a John Lewis own brand drier.
I am surprised by the steam given off by it, enough to steam up the windows. I spoke to JL who were helpful and said this is normal, but just to keep an eye on it in case it becomes excessive. What ever that means!!
Surely the driers should contain the steam and it should just be emptied from the water container?
So is this normal?
Thanks
You definitely get some condensation escaping (ours is a Bosch) but we've got a big extractor fan to counter it. If that's left off things do get a tad humid
No.
It should all end up in the water container. We had the same problem, until I realised the filters were a bit blocked. You need to clean all 3 filters before every use. The final little one will be blocked after every use to the point that condensation will be apparent in the room. Drying time will be significantly longer too if the filters are not clean.
No not condensation. A sligtly warm damp feel but nothing more
Your pouring lots off water out at the end of a load?
Love the idea of using a dehumidifier to keep your tumble drier dry. You could skip the middle step...?!
Parents have a Miele (IIRC) condensing jobby, no condensation from that.
