I have a Lezyne Macro which can take bluetooth connections with heart rate monitors. I know Lezyne do a heart rate strap but the reviews are stopping me buying one as they appear to fall apart. What other budget straps are there which are bluetooth compatible. (wont do ant+ whatever that is..)
Get a Polar very reliable.
I bought a Schosche Rhythm+ which works really well but I never use it.
Only used a couple of times - i just listed on eBay starting at £1.
hi Simons_nicolai, i can't see your listing, do you have a listing number?
The Polar OH1 which goes on your arm is very comfortable.
The decathlon one is not available in the Edinburgh store earlier this week and has been de-stocked according to the sales person. not considered arm mounted before but looks an interesting idea.
i use a https://www.wiggle.co.uk/wahoo-tickr-heart-rate-monitor-for-iphone-and-android/
which is much better than the more expensive https://www.wiggle.co.uk/suunto-dual-belt/ (and i know, not bluetooth)
I bought a cateye hr11 on here(got ripped off!) and dont know if it will work for you
BUT it is ANT+ so whats a good android app to use with it?
Polar chest strap, so far very reliable.
+1 for the Polar OH1. More comfy than a chest strap.
Or the latest Garmin HRM-Dual transmits both Ant+ and Bluetooth LE.
Anyone tried the Wahoo Tickr Fit? Don't like chest straps but Garmin watch bit patchy for HR.
Coospo H6, cheap and reliable, far better than my Polar H7.
The only problem with the Polar straps is the plastic clips are quite delicate so don't leave them on the floor :-/
Hmmm was looking at the Coospo arm one on amazon, looks okay and pretty cheap.
Wahoo tickr is fine. Same strap as on my Garmin. Both are better than my watch. The Wahoo gives less noise.
one of the cheaper solution, and one I prefer, as I find chest straps a faff and watches underilable as you need to keep them tight, is one of these: https://newrunninggear.com/products/runar-optical-hrm
slips easily over your forearm and stays put.
I've had one for well over a year now, works a treat with the usual apps and it's bluetooth and ANT+ compatible.
It'll likely not be as accurate at the higher bpm range, but it's good enough to allow you to zone (get me and my kidding on I know about training talk)
