Finding a headset spacer with the requirements of black, alloy, no branding is proving more difficult than I ever thought possible. Every one seems to have a logo or some stupid fluting on it. I've totally given up on the idea of mat black unless I take some wet and dry paper to it.

Recommend me one please. Thanks.

Cheers rocketman, do they definately not have any branding? I know the pic doesn't show any but might be something sneaky round the other side. 1.125 btw.

Halfords do them in packs of 3 or 5, just black with no branding.

Yeah, Halfords do packs of them. Plain black.

the halfords ones are a bit too glossy for my tastes but you can always get a rattle can out.

I think you are overthinking this!

but for the record the ones that came with my merlin and the ones I got from Ribble don't have any logos. Superstar are plain too but out of stock.

Brand-X from CRC - definitely have no branding. I have at least 10 of them on various bikes so I am 100% sure!

Why do you expect to find 'matte' black? Headset spacers are anodised, not painted. 😕

"Deda metal spacers" are what you want - more satin than gloss, plus much thinner than the brand-x cheapies

christ spacers are a rip off. you can get them for 60p if you poke around the web.. (glossiness uncertain).

but really sounds like you want these!

Smiff that's pretty close to what I don't want 😀

I had a look at the deda ones on wiggle so if they're brand free and less shiny I'll give them a go.
