I've a Felt DD fat bike - it comes with an FSA head set which i'd like to swap out for either a Chris King (ideally) or Hope in mango/orange...
I've removed the FAS unit and measured the head set - 44mm inset upper (simple), but it had a 55.95 external cup lower!!!
Hope, Chris King, Cane Creek etc.etc. all say a 55.95 lower should be an inset cup, but this would drop the headtube by 8mm and steepen the head angle - I'm I doing something wrong - do hope / Chris King do such a lower?
And yes I have checked and double checked my measurements (with digital callipers).....

i could, but its almost twice my budget, I don't want to change the angles and its not orange....
i think i'll have to go with a works components headset - if i go with a hope or Chris King i'll steepen the headtube by 0.5degrees - at least with the Works it'll slacken by 0.5 even if its in dull black........
