Hey guys! I just bought a v4 frame yesterday and the guy I bought it off said he'd lost the top bits of the headset. so all i got is the bearing atm for the top

Bottom has a crown race and everything so i presume that's all good?

The forty on the bottom might indicate its a cane creek forty headset so maybe you would be better off looking at cane creek headset parts. IDK though.

Everything I found appears to be including the bearing ?? This is confusing me hahah
you will struggle to find individual parts for most makes (except Hope) with the exception of bearings and crown races. Best bet is try and find the parts diagram and google for the part number and see if you can find it or your lbs can get it.

find out the fitment of the frame and then either try and get the same one or just buy a different make (eg hope) to fit instead.
Well on commencal's website it says the v4 has a zs 44 headset, so if i just order the cane creek zs 44 top cup I should be good hopefully, as its only the top assembly that rests ontop of the bearing that I need
You're missing a top cap, so buying the whole upper set will give you what you need plus a nice spare bearing and upper race. £20-odd.
there may well be some shims missing too which will come in the complete set.
