so I left my Gibson over the head ones in the changing room and they disappeared to a new home 🙁
looking for decent over the head blue tooth / noise cancelling / don't mind lots of sweat / stay on when rowing recommendations
must be good enough to hear film dialogue whilst drowning out fans / turbo
Don't like headphones when getting s sweat on - just too hot. I have some Bose quiet comfort 35 which are brilliant for the rest of the time.
Just (as in yesterday) bought some Jabra active 65t in ear totally wireless buds for pretty much what you describe. Out of the box with the medium tips I was quite disappointed but switched to the big tips for my big lugs and night and day difference in sound quality and blocking. They are not noise cancelling but do have hear through mode for when you need it. The lack of any wires but total security in your ears is very liberating.
I have some older wired QC35s and wouldn't wear them as def too hot, the Gibson's however were designed for running so didn't have a full 'cup' if that makes sense. I've always found buds fall out - then again I've never tried newer / expensive ones, just cheap stuff.
Have you tried them with a TV/turbo yet? A lot of ones I tried in the past had to be turned up way too loud to drown out the 2 fans and turbo
I too have problems with some buds - apple ones just fall straight out of my ears. These are good however - once I was using the right tips.
Just for you I stood next to my simply ridiculous Sealey fan I use for the turbo whilst listen to an audiobook. No issue. The Bose with NC definitely do a better job but I still would be happy with it. I went for these ones as they have the best water resistance on the market of the 'quality sound' jobs - you can wash them under a tap. So far so good.
thanks on the list then 🙂
I'd say that over-ear ones are going to be far too hot and would get minging with sweat in no time. So you want in-ear sporty ones. I use Anker Soundbuds, but whilst looking for NC headphones I came across a pair of the Sony NC wireless earbuds. They were lovely things, except the NC was useless and the connection kept dropping.
Just found out they've released a new set called Sony WF-1000XM3 which are apparently much much better in both regards. I'd snap some up if I had the cash, but I blew mine on over-ear NCs for air travel because they have a wired option and longer battery life. But the earbuds were much more comfortable to wear than over-ears.
like my Bose soundsport wireless free - used for over 12 months in gym and on turbo with no problems
