Has anyone any recommendations for routes around port de pollensa?
Thank you

The route starts off the road up to Lluc from Pollensa Town. Not super exciting, but an alternative to riding on the road.
If you're in Port Pollenca, I reckon you're best off swallowing your pride and road riding. The trip out to Formentor lighthouse is brilliant.
I haven't ridden around there but if you are looking for a guide and bike hire I would really recommend going with Jorge at Chainguide.
I've done two excellent rides with him on previous trips. If there are good MTB trails around there he will know them.
Actually I'm there again in October half term as well and will probably give him a shout, haven't made any plans yet though.
@tthewI've never ridden a proper road bike 😂
Oh wow. You should definitely do it then! Hire a really nice one, the roads out there are properly maintained ideal for skinny tyres. Take your own pedals and shoes, (assuming you ride SPD's) and In October it should be fairly easy to find a guided group to join, although the Forementor lighthouse ride I mentioned is no navigation needed really.
You'll be amazed at the speed and handling of a road bike, and I say this as somebody who's really not interested in road bikes In the UK.
worth popping 'Mallorca' into the search bar:

I’ve never done anything guided in Mallorca but on one family holiday I hired a Canyon Spectral for a few days and on another I took my Bird Zero AM 150mm hardtail with me, and just went hunting for cheeky trails. That was down in the south near Port d’Andratx.
From there all the way up the west side of the island it’s properly spiky gnarly limestone hills/mountains. I’d explore the maps and satellite images and strava/trailforks and then go to see what I could find. Quite a bit of pushing up goat tracks and then trying to ride back down - lots of tech challenges. Some really nice swoopy stuff in the woods near the beaches. There was a little bike park down at Peguera too.
I’m not bothered about road riding and have only ridden clips once going round a track. It’ll be a nice temperature in October - both times I was there in late June / early July, it was v hot!
@tractionman thanks for that, @petefromearth when I've looked up chain guide the website says from September they are doing mainland tours?
we were staying not far from Port de Pollenca and hired MTBs from here:

very friendly folks, no probs.
as @chiefgrooveguru says, there're a lot of tracks to get off-road, around Pollenca and Alcudia, we just got a map and explored, this one:

it's a great place to visit, have fun!
Success with the link this time. I did it with a guide, but it's very easy to follow.
