I have hayds soles and 1 lever is obviioq missing something.... How do istop it swingingforwaard
At a guess the push rod is on the wrong side of this, retaining waher(washer held in with a circlip)
Have you had a crash that pulled the lever forward?
Yep, ball-end of the push-rod has almost certainly pulled through the washer.
It's easy to replace the washer, but you will need a set of small circlip pliers (although I have done it a few times with 2 nails and patience!).
These washers have a habit of cracking and used to only be found in the £35 master cylinder rebuild kit. I have lucked out and found some normal washers that had the right diameter - but you did need to make a little stack of them.
Thanks all,yup the washer has gone, hopefully all orted now, cheers
