just building up a hayes 9 brake not sure if it is front or rear?? are they different, how can i tell?

Measure the length of the hose, about 900mm front and 1300mm rear.

the actual lever body/calliper is front or rear, depends on the hose length

hose is 1200 so prob rear then?

ah so the body isnt position specific then if its to short for back i could cut hose down and use for front? thats good to have as an option
