My brake calipers have failed. So put a new brake caliper on the rear. Then I'm trying to bleed it.
I've been following the instructions on:
I attach the bleed funnel (SM-DISC) to the top near the brake lever. I draw mineral oil into a syringe and attach it to the bleed nipple on the brake caliper.
When I push the mineral oil through the system its coming up through the funnel. When I squeeze the brakes they feel right.
Then when I get to the stage where you squeeze the brakes, open the bleed nipple to let some oil come out, then close the bleed nipple again, the brakes feel spungy again! So spungy in fact that they don't work!
I've tried then pushing more oil from the syringe into the bleed nipple until the brakes feel right again and leaving it at that - then as soon as I get on the bike to test ride it again- after a few brake applications the lever is getting spungy extremely quickly again.
Does anyone know what is going wrong and what can be done about it ?
