You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Was packing up my bike for travel last night, and went to remove the rear derailleur - a Shimano XT. Accidentally undid the bolt next to the one that attaches to the mech hanger - and a thin little perforated shim on the spoke side of the bolt dropped out.
Of the many things I don;t know, here are the top three:
a) what it is
b) how to put it back
c) how significantly it might alter the performance of the mech
Feel free to wrap any advice in withering derision.
Thanks
Is it part 2?
I believe so.
Im assuming its the circlip in part 1 and did the same in a rush to get the mech off. Just popped it back on, using a flat screwdriver to push it in place
Edit. In that case ignore me
Thanks folks.
