In a few years time that'll be worth a lot if in mint condition. That is, if people take up collecting rotors like they collect postage stamps now...

Was over in Canada recently and we saw a lot of this years hire bikes and they had the discs like the back of that bike, the explanation was that it was srams quick fix to reduce sqeeling.

It could be the squeal solution as the current one is to use a non-holey one.

I was wandering around EBC yesterday, found another one! Front only, the rear was holey.

The guys at the SRAM service truck at the last BDS were saying it's to keep noise down on the larger rotors and is the new design.

whoops i must apologise to the OP as on actually looking at mine today prior to a ride both my discs are like the OP's, these were new in a set of avid elixir 5 i bought from merlins, date on discs is april 2011 so i guess its their new format of disc?.
