No, but I used 'Prestige Powder Coating' which is based in Hartlepool, they are fully aware of the need to use soft blast materials on alloy frames. You don't need to pre strip the paint all you need to do is tell the guy what colour and what needs masking off.
They coated my Orange 5 frame in white and done a fantastic job...
Price......? cost me £30.....bargain

HUNDREDS IN STOCK

In my experiences of powdercoaters this isn't true. Any fancy colours they have to order in especially and it wont be £20. It will be close to £100.

Powdercoaters tend to spray gates and industrial stuff standard colours.

Just google your local powder coater. I got frame and forks done for around 30 quid. It could cost you that for postage. They also offer a dipping service to strip all paint and grease.

A quality painter puts bungs in the threads otherwise you will have problems rebuilding it.

If you have an anodised frame like a black nukeproof mega does it not need any prep?

Even anodized frames need prep mate. The surface needs to be nice and rough for the paint to stick to. My local place is really well priced and does all the prep (bead blast) in with the price.

I have frames done for anywhere from £20-50 all in (depending on how complicated it is and the colour, eg. Black trailstar £20 and royal blue Intense M3 £50). I'd say £30 was not bad at all. The place i use have a massive amount of colours in stock and look after the frames in the process (they cover threads and headset/bearing housings/surfaces).

They are SL Powedercoating in Plymouth incase anyone is interested.
Cheers
