From what I can tell this is a cheap version of the Jagwire compressionless cable.

I'm switching my pub bike to discs to prolong rim life and was hoping to get some better cable pull using this.

Anyone used it? I imagine most of you are hydro only but there must be some luddites like me still on cable discs.

No but I'm interested too. I have the jagwire cables on my cx bike and they're great but I need a longer cable for a new frame and the jagwire stuff is only available in complete kits.

Yep, used it on cable discs and on road calipers, works just fine...

Sounds good. I’ve been looking at the jagwire stuff to use with Juin Techs but might give these a go instead

Does the Wiggle kit come with the curved pieces to fit the bar contours? I've found that makes a difference in both feel/control and in longevity.

It doesnt appear to, no. I managed to wrangle some of the regular outer around a drop bar with a lot of insulating tape and it worked fine though. Currently swapping parts to a new frame and hoping to re-use the Jagwire outers but the rear is looking a little short so I may have to patch in some other cable usng an in-line adjuster to join it. You could do that with the Wiggle cable - use some regular coiled outer around the bar then splice it onto the compressionless stuff.

I noticed you can get a 10m shop roll of the Jagwire KEB-SL outer for £40 though - anyone want to go halves / thirds on some? 🙂

You'll probably need two kits to do one bike as there is only 2m of outer supplied - not enough to do both the back and front in continuous outer.

EDIT -  Unless you have a very small bike

What's that?

I've got the goodridge brake housing on my road bike just taped to the bar under the bar tape.

I've got the lifeline kite on my London Road, and it transformed the braking with my shimano cable discs.

I managed to get it to go round the bars and taped it up ok. I think i ended up getting to sets because on wasn't long enough for front and rear. Works really well though.
