I have a Saint caliper (M810, 4pot) and was wondering if the older style XT/SLX (775/665) levers will work it okay?

The levers 'look' similar:

Anyone tried such a crazy thing...?

No, but given the calipers are all similar, should work OK as all that matters is the amount of fluid puched through?

Lots of DHers were running old Saint callipers with new SLX/XT levers, before the new Saint came out and said it was better than Saint callipers with Saint levers, so I'd do that. That's unless you've already got the lever.

Ta. No I've just got a booshed M810 lever, so I'm looking to replace it with something, and M810 levers are thin on the ground, so trying to widen the net by using a 775 or 665 instead.

Yep, I have fitted both those XT and SLX levers to Saint callipers and they work fine.

If you did decide to change both levers for new style ones then you need to swap the hoses to SM-BH90 with the more narrow bore.

Im pretty sure that doesnt apply to the stuff the OP is talking about. For M675 / 785 / 985 / new saint yes, but for 665 / 775 / 975 normal hoses should be fine.
