We have called it off as only one person has 4x4 to get through the snow across the moors and if the others did make it they stood a good chance of not getting out the car park. Has anyone made it? Steels are ment to be running a demo day there today. We are just going out locally instead. This isn't the forecast 'snow showers' - its a downfall!

Was planning on too but then I opened the curtains and saw two inches in Stockton. So it's it this bad here don't want to risk driving to hamsterly. Maybe tomorrow.

My folks live nr Hamsterley and have just called in to say hello. All the roads in the area are clear apparently.

Forest Drive might not be but you could park at Bedburn

From the posts on twitter they steels boys (well Dave anyway) had set-off and got most of teh way there. No comments since so they must be in the mobile black-hole that is teh general hamsterley area.

The latest from Descend-Hamsterley's facebook page is that they've called off the uplifts due to around 4 inches of snow on the tracks and roads.

Hi
Me and deejay rode for about an hour and half this morning.
Decided against going down the road to the Grove and the car park at the top of the downhill and parked in the village and rode in.
About 3 inches of snow everywhere. You could ride but it was tough and the tracks were a little vague in places
Cheers
Steve
