I want to source some bushes for the linkages in a Saracen Ariel. I need 15x17x5mm, the closest I can find is 15x17x9mm. I need them to be 7mm long at the maximum.

Alternatively, any other ideas?

Grind one down on a bench grinder? Should take 2mm off in no time.

Yes, the whole thing (steel/bronze/PTFE) is only 1mm thick. I'm more thinking about how to trim it without damaging it so it is unsuitable to use.

I'd thought a Dremel might do it, but it needs to be a super smooth finish.

I'd take it to a good machinist to have it trimmed down on a lathe.

If there not a bushing kit available from Saracen, or is this an alternative as the kit is overpriced/shit?

Saracen ones are £9.99 a pair. These are £2.02 a pair. Some mark-up...

Yes buy the correct ones from Saracen . Why would you bother with the hassle of buying the wrong size to save a few quid and then cutting them down , which may or may not work and which if you get somebody else to do it will cost you and you may end up not saving any money .

Thanks RN, I hadn't realised that was an option.
