Anyone got one of these? Seen them online at a cheap price. Read a few reviews on MTBR suggesting problems with slipping/shimmed seatposts - anything in that?

BOZ.

As you don't live very far away from me (I think) maybe you'd be interested it taking out a selection of different big wheelers for a spin?

Give us a shout if you want.

Wow I like this. Think I may have answered my "what 3rd bike?" question

and sub 500 quid for the ss rigid...

actually It has just made me want an Inbred ss 26er. No more beer! Hide the wallet! Kill Google Kill google

Just bought an XC from Triton (happy Christmas to me!). Looking forward to getting out on it once the snow goes away... Seatpost 'n' shim seem fine, doesn't feel like it'll slip. I suppose if you're not happy with it, just get a new 31.6 post and lose the shim.

Initial impressions... Don't like the SRAM shifters (bit of a Shimano whore though), also annoyed by the lack of QR on the seat post clamp. And if I'm being really picky, the SRAM rear der looks pants. I've swapped out the cable BB5s for an old set of hydro Tektros that I had kicking about - I think the cable brakes are the weakest part of the spec.

Have to say thank you for the heads up. I am so going to get the SS version if bloody work will get the Bloody Cycle to work scheme up and running...(440 quid from treads so it will work out quite cheap)

and Ill ride it to work. Sod this tiny tyres silliness

Bought a Haro Mary SS from Winstanleys bikes last summer... excellent bike, there's no excuse not to buy one! I ended up selling my P7 and I'm keeping this as my singlespeed bike from now on. I have changed the wheels and tires (Hope/Stans 355/Racing Ralph), which made a huge difference in acceleration, and added a Reba 29" fork.

What size did you go for. I read a review of a 5'11" chap (which is what I am) and he said 16" fits like a glove. Seems a bit small to me .

It's not likely you'll get it on cyclescheme at this price as the shop gets charged 10% by the cyclescheme company.

Triton are cheaper than tredz at the 'mo. £415.

Size wise, I'm 6'1", I bought the 18", feels fine although haven't ridden in anger yet. Quite a long TT (23.6"), so I went for the mdedium frame.
