You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm away with the family this weekend and we are staying in Harlech. I'm considering taking the bike and getting out for the day. Although I'll be without a vehicle so limited to either riding locally or jumping on the train.
At present my only idea is to train it down to Tal-y-bont just above Barmouth and ride the Pont Scethin route. I've ridden this before perhaps 10 years ago.
Does anyone have any other route suggestions that are either local or accessible via the train within an hours journey or so?
that's a good one - you can ride it as a loop from fair Bourne station. or, there's a route around llwyngril which heads over a track (never done it) but more road. both are in the Jon Dixon mid wales MTB guide.
Just in case a road ride is an option, something like this would be epic, in my eyes at least. 😉

Cheers, finephilly. I remember there being a bigger loop that perhaps started on the other side of the bridge to Barmouth?? Either way, when I rode it last we parked near a Post Office in Tal-y-Bont and set off from there. It might have been an old MBR route.
Could Machynlleth be an option? I recently read about the Dyfi Enduro on here. The route is accessible on Strava and starts in the town.
Thanks n0b0dy, but I've only got an MTB so off road only.
