You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm after a new hardtail (frame), 650b and fairly tough - for general riding, but also playing on DH tracks and racing enduros. But I'm not a fan of 'modern' hardtail geometry. If I want something long and slack, I'll get a bouncy bike. I want something nimble.
I don't particularly like long bikes - I'm 6 foot and my favourite frames have all had a 410mm reach and a 50/60mm stem. I don't really get on with mega slack angles either. I've tried them, don't like them in really tight stuff and don't go any faster on them when I'm racing. And I don't really want anything over 120mm travel. I don't like lots of travel on hardtails and end up running the forks stupidly hard.
Awkward, aren't I.
Birds, Whytes etc all longer than I want. Stantons, Morfs all too slack. Most of the remaining options run 140mm forks or bigger.
I loved my 26 inch Slackline. Something like a 2016 Ragley Marley/Piglet would do, but I'm struggling to find one. A Bfe would work, but my girlfriend has a Soul and I'm not doing the whole his and hers thing. An Explosif is an option.
What's out there? 650b for preference, cos then I won't need new wheels and forks.

so you're ignoring the bike which ticks all your boxes for what reason?
Ok, I was being a bit silly. I've had two Cotics in the past and fancied something different. I'd also like to find some alternatives. I just don't really want one I guess.
Onza Jackpot? Edit: no for 140-150 fork, scratch that
45650b?
Cotic would have been my suggestion (owner so recommend what you've got)
Transition TransAm (can't recall if they still do them) frames I have seen look very nice
Have you thought about going custom - getting something made to your exact specifications?
I was looking at TransAms, but they seem to have vanished. Dunno if they've been dropped. Chameleons are the same.
I don't really want to spend a fortune, so custom's probably out unfortunately.

What about the new Slackline? It's not that slack and is very pretty in the flesh. design around shorter forks too.
Even the new longer Stanton's are still a fair bit shorter than the likes of Bird frames.
Onza Jackpot? One for sale in the classifieds (not mine). Very nice bike.
Genesis Core?
I was going to suggest a Ragley Marley or Piglet. I assume you've been looking around for one - have you tried Pedals in Edinburgh?
