Always feels like the end of the season.
Good reason! who'd turn up to a very lairy, niche, one-off invitational mid-season or the weekend before the World Champs?
Guid stuff, is that on sunday afternoon?
Can't wait, though I'm away this weekend so hopefully it'll be on replay by Monday afternoon...
I rode with Oscar Härnström briefly last weekend, well before my friend crashed and broke his shoulder trying to keep up. Guy is a mad man. would love to see Hardline live!

I don’t know what it is, but Hardline and Rampage leave me cold, it should be a WC (which I love watching) turned up to 11, but I rarely watch it all.
I’m told it’s not a great event live either, a 45 min race on screen is actually a full day event
I thought it was great fun to watch live. Walk up to the start for the final run then walk down after first rider starts and you get to see a different rider hit each major obstacle/jump whatever on the way down. Amazing riding talent way off the scale for most mortal riders.
Everything is HUGE even HUGER when you watch it live.
That rider who tries to land hugging a tree 🤕
Looking forward to this, always feels like the end of the season.
I meant it feels like the summer is over. I totally understand the timng of the event, Rampage is epic but I find Hardline a bit more mentaly accessible. I view it as extreme DH, Rampage is a totally different thing to wimpy me...
I saw it live last year. To be honest I think its better watching it on Red Bull. I wouldn't recommend going unless you live next door.
There were supposed to be about 15+ riders, during practice on the run up days a few bailed out as it was too hard, a few crashed out as it was too hard.
On qualifying a few crashed out as it was too hard.
So on the day live you only saw about 8 I think come down the hill. That's 8 in the entire day, so about 1 an hour if you happen to be looking. So yes its great to see just how big the road gap is (bloody big) but waiting all day to see 8 do it is not good. Also you only see a bit of the track at one time, so you don't actually see all 8 unless you stay in just one point.
There is bugger all in the way of anything in the pit area. A couple of crap burger vans with massive queues and that's it.
They need to do more for the spectators and get more riding the hill. Otherwise its only worth watching on Red Bull from the comfort of your sofa. Then you get a full view pretty much all the way down of each rider, Robs commentary and slow motion replays of when they bin it.
