I had planned a route around the Ardennes using ridewithgps, and headed out to tackle it at lunch time today.
I just got back.
88kms with 1600 metres of climb. Much of it on gravel. Spent a good hour not knowing where I was. Tonnes and tonnes of false flats.
It was all lovely until Roche-en-Ardennes. I wish I could say it was then literally all downhill from there, but it wasn’t.
I think I might take tomorrow off.
Jeez.
🤦♂️
no one likes a show off
No showing off here, I assure you. I am an idiot.
You literally do need to get out more.
You literally do need to get out more.
Bit by bit, scotroutes, bit by bit.
You should try the Roche Ardennes stage race. Dubbed the hardest race in the world and it was, even in the dry. I didn't complete day 3.
Bit by bit, scotroutes, bit by bit.
I know, I know 😊
Only 1600m of climbing in 54 miles ... practically a flat ride.
I guess you even fatter now than before the accident James?
1600m of climbing in 54 miles
WTF!!! Don't do that.

Yeah right.. FTFY: 0.99miles of climbing in 86.9km

I gained 7 bloody kilos! So I have a lot of work to do now...
Seven kilos ? or put another way just over 3lbs
..whats so hard about losing that ?
I could lose that much with a good dump..
Seven kilos ? or put another way just over 3lbs
7kg is over 15lbs. You're dividing instead of multiplying 😉
That's a really big dump then. Best get that toilet paper in the fridge
oh yeah ..you're right Scotroutes..
..still I've probably been close to dumping that amount previously 😊
As you were then ...😁
