How old are your oldest riding shoes. I seem to find that they last for years, my oldest must be 10 years old, a pair of specialized pro mtb.

got a pair of SIDI, they must be 15/16 years old, they have been all over the world and still going strong, look well lived in now. 😀

My oldest pair are 7-8 years old but look as if their days are numbered. They always set like concrete after a wet ride and it takes ages for them to loosen up again.

2 years max. One year racing, then one year as my training set, then usually the sole breaks or the upper rips.

*Is smug to still own a pair. Still in (occasional) use, too!)*

The sole on my Nike poobaas has just last week split
I reckon I could repair it though
Got them along with my first pair of spd pedals (also still going) for my 18th birthday, I'm now 37 so 19 years
To be fair they haven't seen much use these last 5-6 years
