i'm off out riding etc.. i just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making this site the place to be for all things bike. the arguments, the pictures, the write ups of rides and everyones individual input makes it feel like home.

You guys there in the UK and Europe will get to the New Year quite a few hours before us in the USA, but we will try to keep the celebration going--you will be up and on your New Years Day ride about the time we are going to bed.

Has been a year of absolute downs but also some real ups for me this year. Can't believe how totally at rock bottom I was both physically and mentally earlier this year, but though it's been a bit of a bumpy road since then, there's a general upwards trend.
So here's to 2012 - a year for looking forward and embracing all that the future has to offer. No idea what it will bring, but will be glad to share the ride with all you lovely people.
