Not really been on here much lately, so doing a quick update on new bikes and that for the few odd bods remaining that still like a monstrosity or niche wonder wagon (depending on your proclivities)

One off Ti Stooge 36 designed by Andy and I to see if we could actually get a geometry that works with stupidly big wheels rather than just being a bit of novelty item.

100mm fork offset certainly helps keep it agile and the back is as tucked as we could get it with a fag paper clearance on the seat stay.

If you see that bike and don't immediately think "I want a go on that.", you are incomprehensible to me.

Glorious. I mean I don't want one but the world's better because it exists

That’s great! Love the singlespeed gearing a wheel that huge needs!

Fag paper clearance, so you've built a track bike? 😉

What's it like to ride.....odd...it climbs so well it's almost like cheating, carries speed downhill like a nutter, even with 220 and 200 rotors and 4 pot brakes it gets a bit vague, taking it off drop offs needs more planning and tight singletrack is a bit of handful but no more so than my pole evolink enduro bike.

The huge wheel out front is surreal

Managed to get it to 27lbs with carbon rims and singlespeed.

Wheel building was a knobend as its soooo big i had to make extenders for my parktools stand to get the blighter in properly.

Gears will be going on to really make the most of the speed it can carry for big distance rides.

Does it make sense....no

WouldI have it as my only bike..no

Does it make everyride an absolute joy..oh yes

Its at llandegla and cannock on a pretty regular basis and lots of folks have had a go so if you see it about and want a go, just give me a shout

Will also be at stuff like battle on the beach and the dirty reiver next year.

Brilliant stuff. I love the idea of a 32/36” drop bar off roader.

I was about to say it looks weird without a hipflask.

And actually, it looks weird with a hipflask.

You need a bigger hipflask.

I have drunk from Tazzy's hipflask (not a euphemism) and I'm not sure a bigger one would be a good idea... So, perfect for the 36er then.

looks fabulous! Interested in a 36er.

I'm a big fella, and had a go on a DirtySixer when I was in the US for work a couple of years ago. Apart from it being an apocalypse build, and thus v heavy (double discs at the front!), I did think 'Huh, this is what 29ers must feel like for normal sized people'

The bikes I like most do something with committment. Like music. Less of the mainstream appeal to all wishywashy something for everyone stuff thanks. I know I'd love this, probably more as a SS too. Good stuff!

Actually the bike I've been riding most over the last few months has 20" wheels. This would be a shock to the system.
