Well this arrived in the post today.

It's a KTM Canic CXA, spent the evening fitting pedals, changing the saddle and swapping the brakes from euro to UK style. Fair to say I'm rather eager to ride it after work tomorrow and then hit the nwcca league in the winter.

OOOOH LOOOK! It's laid an egg!

🙂

Looks nicer than a bike from a motorbike company should!

Looks good! I like the look of the Orange Ultegra version. Out of interest, where did you buy it from?

Cheers,
Nick

Got it from a local'ish bike shop.

The orange carbon one was out of my budget, but it's rather nice. The '16 one has an option of CX1 I think too.

Toying with fluro yellow bar tape, thoughts?

That if you're planning to race 'cross on it anything but black tape will look indescribably filthy by the middle of October.

Nice bike btw.

Fizik superlight or glossy tape cleans up really easily so you can get away with a light colour if you use it.
Flo yellow is good enough for Tim Gould!

Suppose once it's filthy I could use the spare roll to rewrap each side again

First ride done, I'm very impressed. The bike handles really well, turns in sharply, and handles short sharp climbs with ease. Took in a mixture of bridleslaying, river paths, field edges and rooty single track.
