xherbivorex - if it's your first "C" on your own then it's bound to feel different. I did that last year - went to my favourite riding area on my own, took a picnic plus flask of coffee and enjoyed the quiet trails.

Don't beat yourself up and get rid of the guilt if there is any. Contemplative time is necessary sometimes but, most importantly, you need to like yourself despite whatever circumstances have put you in your current situation. Hold your head up high and don't look back.

I was looking forward to another solo "C" this year but have compromised somewhat. But that brings its own difficulties.

Didn't get any at all. I've got the kit I need for now, can afford the kit I need in the future and asked my family to donate to my fundraising rather than give me anything.

I'm the most satisfied that I've ever been.

And whilst we were out, one of our two new cats gave us a gift of their first pooh on the carpet. So, by way of apology, both went out and returned with their first live 'catch' to us - one of these.

Santa brought one of these for my daughter.

Santa should have picked up a Virus Diamond (cheap brand made by Raleigh) but his stupid elves scratched it. Santa noticed the scratch (deep and long) and wasn't too happy so the good man at Formby Cycles let them that the Dawes for no extra money. 😀
