I just bought a bike with a dropper seatpost. my housemate insists on hanging my bike up from the roof by the seat. is that a good idea... will it damage the seatpost?

Probably not but I must admit, I'd probably try to avoid it if I could with a dropper. Any chance of having a hook for the back or front wheel instead?

no problem at all if done with care/attention... but hooking the wheel is probably better.

yeah I think i'll just make a hook for the wheel instead. i was thinking the seatpost is similar to a stanchion, and doesnt wanna get scratched... so not keen on someone else chucking my bike around! okay theres a project for sunday if this enduro tomorrow doesnt rinse me too much.
