Hanging a Shimano shifter off a SRAM matchmaker clamp. What do I need?

What do I need to hang this shifter off this clamp please? I've tried looking before but couldn't work out exactly what I needed. I want to move it inboard slightly and obviously with the clamp butted against the other it won't move (I'm also a tart and don't like extra clamps 😁 )

Have a Google for problem solvers bikes they have some adaptors.

We got some Problem Solvers a few years ago to sort out either this problem (or the opposite way around, can’t remember which) and they worked well.

I think it depends on if your Shimano shifter has the right clamp to work or not.

I think my problem might be that I don’t know what mount my Shimano shifter uses?
How can I tell?

Is that 12sp Deore? You need a new shifter afaik. Older ones you used to be able to buy the top cover for an I spec shifter, but don't know if you can any more?
Again, if it's modern Deore 12sp then the standard is I spec EV. It's not particularly backwards compatible, but there are I spec EV to SRAM Matchmaker adapters on eBay. No idea what the ergonomics end up like though I'm afraid.
I'd try and sell you my I Spec Deore pod, but if I were you I'd spend a bit more and get an XT one for the double upshift feature.

I don't think problem solvers do ones for EV.

Thanks.
Yes 12SP Deore I think and it’s 2022 bike so I guess that counts as modern.

Wolftooth do this, but it doesn’t look right for my shifter mounting. Is there another bit I’d need to change it from its own bar clamp to the I Spec EV?

Seems I’ll need a different shifter to do it and then it still might not end up in a better position 🤔

Other option is I have a SRAM Eagle shifter that would hang perfectly off the brake clamp, will that work with a Shimano 12Speed mech?

I am in the same position, dont like the shimano brakes on my shimano equipped bike, picked up SRAm brakes and now need something to aid mounting the shifter.

I ordered these from eBay, arrived after a few days and from a dry mounting work fine and are 1/3 the price of the wolftooth option!

Cheers, that looks good except I don’t think I’ve got the right shifter to fit it 🤔
Unless that bit worth the slot on it will screw onto the top of my shifter.

Yeah, revisiting your pictures, I dont think you have I spec EV, on my I spec EV shifter the mounting bolt comes from the other side with the shifter having a slot to move the shifter inboard or outboard.

If it bugs you enough you may have to get a new shifter and then the mounting bracket!

It looks like you have a bar clamp shifter so it can't be converted. As it's Deore, you could probably buy an ispec one quite cheaply to replace it if you're keen to change the position.
