The honey ones are better than the black - the leather is softer and takes less time to break in.

Ooh, ta. Reserved a Honey from Pontefract. Much as I love the shape of the Spa Cycles lookalike, it isn't getting any softer after hundreds of miles.

Got one reserved for collection tomorrow. Knowing Halfords that will have been a lie, so I'm going to ride through for it so I've not completely wasted a journey.

The only worry is honey wearing out faster too.... I have one black and one honey at the mo both with similar mileages (15k miles each). They really fit my arse. Conversely, I have a Pro that sits in the spares box though I may donate it to the Spanish Inquisition 🙂

I had a Pro that I lusted after (Ooo Err Matron) having used a perfectly comfortable B17. It too resided in a spares box for twenty years until the birth of eBay. I sold it for more than I cost new. 🙂

I'm a convert to the Selle San Marco Regal, easily as comfortable as a Brooks saddle with no breaking in period.[img] [/img]

Last thing I bought from Halfords online they cancelled the order a week later and didn't even bother to email me. Top service.

For the miserable naysayers, here you go:

BTW, ran into the London/Edinburgh/London audaxerers on the way back. They pass right through my village, only lived here 25 years and dint know!

My son got two and his mate one from Stockton this morning, He reserved the second one while queueing. The lad at the checkout hadn't a clue about the offer or the full price of a brooks saddle
