You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've heard they maybe following the example of the GCI and getting a consumer credit license so they can offer over 1k.
Anyone close to this and can confirm / deny?
Or have a phone number for halfords C2W - can't seem to find one
I believe they do now but the employer (or benefit scheme company that they farm it out to) has to set a higher limit.
Our is Halfords but via Benefit Select and they still have an upper limit of 1k. Higher apparently "under review".
Our work's C2W is with Halfords and the limit doubled to £2k - causing me all sorts of what bike dilemmas 😉
ok that's useful to know, and that he limit is 2k. have they ditched the restrictions on the components you can use the voucher on? I wasnt allowed to use it for a groupset or wheels last time, even though they are consumable items on a commuter bike....
Not sure, I always thought that sort of thing was down to the shop you choose
This is great news! We're having C2W reinstated here this year and I'm thinking of consolidating my quiver of 26er full suspension and 29er rigid singlespeed to one 29er hardcoreish hardtail. Expect a 'What bike?' thread in a couple of months. 🥳
Yep, there will be a new contract to sign between the business and c2w. C2w scheme does not have a limit per se. This can be set by the employer but I think that's as hoc rather than in the C2w contract (as your HR or scheme owner will sign off each voucher). Our limit is likely to be 1M pay, to minimise business risk.
our limit is £1k but most shops accept halfords vouchers, so you can buy a higher value bike if you want (ie a top up), but makes no difference to amount of tax you'll save though.
