You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Not sure I'd this has been advertised, but I brought two tyres from halfords this week went to the till to pay and was offered anything I like up to the value of £24.99. I know they don't have a great choice but I got some free knog stuff.
It's 3 for 2 isn't it ?
Its also called going out of business and need to raise cash flow fast.
Oh right just its advertised as 3 for 2 on all cycle accessories 🙂
So CRC can sell things at 70% off with free delivery, but Halfords can't have a 3 for 2 sale?
Hardly going out of business methinks.
It'd be good for proper bike shops if H did go under - no loss at all
from beginning of October;

Halfords said it expected its half-year pre-tax profits to be between £40m and £42m, and full-year profits to be towards the top end of its previously stated £62-£70m range.[/i]

so they make more profits in half a year than CRC or Wiggle turnover in a full year and yet it's Halfords who are on the ropes?

I dunno, some seem to do quite well out of "I've bought this crap bike, can you fix it for me" type of work. Especialy as workshop hours are more profitable than trying to undercut CRC on parts.
I got 2 Minions for £44 using their 25% online discount. Happy with that 🙂
