afternoon all

i know its a little cloak and dagger but can anyone point me in the direction of off piste trails at haldon?

regular visitor to haldon but there is only so much of the kiddens and ridge i can take.
10 year old lad with me so scratching around in the woods will only last so long before he gives up and wants to go home.

riding green cards from the wife dont come along too often so i want to make the most of the one im trying to negotiate for this weekend.

cheers

Have a look at Strava heat map? Or look for names on Strava - Ring Ring, VCR are the only two I can think of.

I only know a few of the off piste trails on the car park side and hardly any on the cafe side (where they’re all off piste come to think of it.

Plenty to get found if you look in the right place. Strava shows up loads.

At least 3 or 4 trails start at the old bird if prey car park (Belvedere end of Haldon).
Ring ring and a couple more start just down from the FC offices.
2 or 3 others start bear the Quarry entrance.
There's also a few newer ones in the middle between the a38 and a380 (East of the racecourse).
And if course loads of more technical and jumpy stuff at the café side (just east of the a380)

Couldn't send the GPX over this way as well? Haldon is one of my regular haunts.

There today, riding the last Enduro race tracks plus a couple of lovely off piste trails. One is definitely ‘son of the old rat run’. We walked up it having seen it off the bottom off the last half of the blue trail. Some great tails on cafe side as well.
