My gx eagle cassette is pretty chewed up now and when I looked for a replacement they're all around £140-160! I bought the cassette initially for £100 from crc but there appears to have been a price hike since then!
Anyone bought a gx cassette recently for a reasonable price? I'd have hoped that with new 10-52 model the 10-50t version would drop in price but that's not been the case!
One word. Demand. Supply is short, demand is high, so prices go up. Forget bargains at the minute, in most cases retailers can't get the stock, let alone discount it.
have you tried other brands the guys have some cheaper 12 speed sram alternatives by sunrace: https://www.bikester.co.uk/parts/cassettes-chains/cassettes.html
depending on hub might be worth looking at HG or microspline freehub & a different cassette, sram xd do seem to be silly money, should end up costing you less than an eagle and you've got more options next time you need to replace.
leftfield suggestion, dont sram shifters/mechs run same cable pull across their range? can you bung an 11spd cassette on a 12spd system and set your limit screws? you do seem to pay a quite a lot for that 12th sprocket.
As I now own a gx cassette that's very worrying. Sunrace do xd an options. I'll be thinking about a Shimano swap when the time comes
But they last longer than Shimano equivalents, so the price is acceptable.
Shimano 12 speed cassettes aren’t exactly cheap either tbf
Used to be even more expensive. I've just ordered this package, 140 ish inc postage and the chain, not shipped yet but only ordered yesterday
SRAM cassettes last no longer Shimano.
I cannot understand anyone who opts for SRAM (or Campag) over Shimano. Consumables are all more expensive than Shimano.

MemberSRAM cassettes last no longer Shimano.
My current GX has laster at least twice as long as my previous XT. I haven't used the latest XT to be fair (as none of my cassettes need replaced 😉 )
Same here, my GX cassette lasted twice as long (so far) than the Shimano XT cassette on the other bike, so they do seem durable.
I'm actually going back to a Shimano freehub body on the new bike. Comes with a SRAM SX 1210 cassette, so I lose the 10T sprocket. When it needs replacing will prob stick an NX 1230 on, but not too fussed with the extra weight. Didn't see the point in paying for the next model up and having a GX with XD freehub again.
That bike discount deal looks good.
Here you go GX casette under £120
