As above rode it at the weekend with one spacer on the drive side and it shifted well but back peddling chain drops into other gears not sure if its owt to do with the spacer issue
I don't think there should be a spacer on a 73mm bb. There certainly isn't on mine and it works perfectly.
AFAIK it's 1 BB spacer on the drive side. Irrespective of number of speeds on the back and Boost/Non Boost (that's defined by the ring - have you got a boost ring?)
I was under the impression that backpedalling issues are quite common at the extremes of the block with Eagle?
no spacer on 73mm
Balls, probably better take mine off! I swear in the instructions it said 1, but all the SRAM docs I can find now say none, which makes total sense if I actually think about it, what with, you know, 2.5x2 being the same as 73-68..
With GXP you can't ever have too many spacers, if you do the BB will bind. If there's still a slight gap between the DS cup and the spider the configuration is good.
If the crank fits, chainline won't be affected by DS spacerage will it? The only effect would be on the part of the axle the DS bearing bore on.
Cheers guys Sonder got back to me and its zero spacers on my set up!!
