I'll get my excuses in first:
1 It wasn't my idea - Sunday Mtb mates who bought bikes from
Pedal Heaven in Fleet and they were holding an Open day
2 I rode my bike (Canyon Anthem) on the serious trail (cough, Blue Trail Swinley)
3 It was a hardtail so doesn't count for people like me who need all the help going
4 I just rode the bike (carbon, didn't I mention that earlier?) on the Green Trail
5 It was a small frame so I (5'11") felt like a giant
6 I'm not buying a 29er, no way

Oh, what was it like? With apologies to Wittertainees, Blimey Charlie! I had to check there wasn't
a rocket attached to the seat post. Superb fun. Sure it rolled as well uphill as down.
Conclusion - Those whippets at the front of the Gorrick races have it easy.
Cheers Des (Pedal Heaven) for a most enjoyable morning .

I think it says skeptical man rides big wheeled bike on easy trails and is impressed. But not to the extent of wanting to buy one.

How is he having a humour bypass, he's pointed something fairly reasonable out. Why advertise your postcode? Where you store your nice bikes no doubt...

Attempting to decipher your post, I think I'm right in saying that you're saying despite it being the wrong size it felt fantastic up and down, and yet you wouldn't buy a 29er on principle, despite seemingly dabbling in some me XC racing...?

Not just your posts that are non sensical then.

Nope.
The only bike i own that i cant wheelie is our tandem.
My 2souls quarterhorse wheelies far easier than my nomad.
Edit.
No idea what the OP is trying to say either. 😕
