What are my chances of shortening my guide hoses without needing to bleed them?

Anyone have experience of this?

I managed to route my stealth reverb without the need for a bleed & I'm pretty sure the ultimates use a similar stealthamajig at the lever end, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Do they all have it & if so, is the factory fitted one reusable, or will i have to buy the barb etc anyway.

Not being a cheapskate, I have a bleed kit for my older Avids but can't get the 'bleeding edge' adaptor locally.

Cheers for any help.

You need a stealthamajig barb and olive, the levers specify only these, and you can't re-use the olive.

You won't need to do a full bleed just purge the lever

Thanks, I've just checked my levers & they're not printed 'stealth-a-majig only' as the online manuals say.
Does that mean they're not & I can only use the standard type barbs?

& presumably purging the lever just involves sucking the air from the lever port but the calliper remains closed, yes?

Thanks again.
