Does anyone recognise the mystery part in both my SM-95 hydraulic brake lines[img] [/img]
There are no part numbers or markings other than a Shimano text logo. My Google-fu has failed to yield anything.
Bike came from Germany, so front and rear are opposite, and I want to swap. Don't want to start pulling these apart if I don't need to, although they look like they might be intended to allow this.

that's exactly what they are there for. Sram have had em for a while and Shimano getting on board too.

"Leak free" inline connectors?

They'll only be leak free when you've got loads of spare time. Once you need to do something to them in a hurry, they'll leak everywhere.....

Agree, probably OEM-only connector for [s]increasing the profits[/s] ease of assembly at the factory.

Thanks all.
I'm hoping to avoid a re-bleed or putting the bike out of action. Will have a fiddle with them at the weekend.

Somehow I failed to see this, which confirms what everyone said.

Turned out to be very easy to swap. No leakage when disconnecting.
