Anyone?

I've found myself with two new tyres I kinda don't need (long story) and am thinking of throwing them on my Occam, replacing a 2.4 Minion DHF and Dissector combo.    There's a big difference in weight and I expect speed (positive) and Knobblism (negative?).

For "down south" forest trails / Swinley type of riding in the wet how do they cope?   I'd rather sell them on than have to replace them as soon as Autumn & Winter hits.

Thanks

It is quite versatile tyre but as always it depends on the rider and terrain if they work. I’m not a fan of DHF and Dissector and would pick GCs over them, especially if bike park use is not priority.
Grip on wet slimy things in autumn is quite average.

Pretty good. Really light. Will cope with rocky trails in the dry. Prob not the best on wet roots!

I have a pair on my Spur. Good allrounder and pretty fast. Nice middle ground between XC and trail.

I'm running the T5 version and love them. One of the best tyres I have used I reckon. Front gives tons of confidence and they roll pretty well for such a grippy tyre. Prefer them now even in summer conditions over my Bonty XR2 Team Issues which were fast but pretty sketchy in comparison. Overall the Ground Controls are faster for me as they just feel so confidence inspiring.

Thanks all, the wet roots thing worries me as my local - Epping Forest - is wet root city.

@Bullet did you have those on when we rode in the rain that time?

@Kryton57 - yes, had them on at Chicksands. Mine aren't the GRID casing so think that makes them a bit lighter and more supple (?) Not had any issues on roots that I can recall.
