He was very brave.. a truly miserable day weather wise but a fantastic course.
Does the course include any footpaths or is it just the North Face trail and bridleways?
Didn't do it this year, but last year it had footpath sections, some of which were on private land, and imo, they were the best bits. It was a good course (from what I remember), but the fireroad climbs were brutal. Having to do them twice seemed particularly cruel. I'll be back next year though, as all the money goes to a worthy cause.
I remembered sections from the Wldboar 24 .... climbs were fairly steady but always rewarded with decent technical singletrack..
I'll be back next year for sure.
I did it again this year. Weather was bad and the course was tougher as a result. The last 30 mins were particularly hard. Good course though - a bit of everything.
People don't like being overtaken though 😉
