Grizedale forest, any good for a couple of hours in present outside conditions?
Cheers
We were out there on Sunday and it was grim, quite a few 'rivers' running down trails. If you're prepared to get wet & muddy though it'll be fine.
sounds like mountainbiking Jim
Will be predominantly wet rather than outright muddy. But very wet!
Grizedale's Trails are a key part of the UKs water storage network as far as I can tell. It's amazing that they seem to have completely ignored the fact they're in the wettest part of the UK when they designed them... Take scuba gear would be my advice.

I assume OP was talking about the non-trail centre bits. But yes, large sections of the North Face will be a continuous puddle. And there is/has been logging on the westerly part of the loop so some of the fire road sections will be pure, grinding slop.
Short version: BWs etc will be generally rockier and nicer than TNF.
i can confirm it was very wet in there last night on the BWs and FPs. we did think about going up the first NF climb but decided it would be just full of big puddles so went up the side of the black instead. tight brown was the only dry descent.
was still an ok ride though
Very wet but all weather trails that still ride well as it is mostly rocks. Not sure there is anywhere dry to ride at the moment.
