I entered this last night. I'm not sure what it is. I hoped it might be like Grinduro for plebs.
I don't have a bike yet, what could go wrong?

Nailed it 😃. It's a nice bimble about the tweed valley with lots of other folks. I enjoyed it but I'm not sure it's much of an event as such.(last year) You start at the same time as a sportive and the enduro practice day so you get kind of get lost in the big picture, same with finishing, bit of a non event. You do get a time and there where photographers but I never saw any pics materialise. Never saw anything really afterwards either regarding reporting and wotnot. The start village is nice though if you are spending a bit of time in the area. Food, beer, bikes and bands are all in attendance. It is a nice course though.
Bit different this year, it's the week after the aforementioned sportive (Skinny Tweed which is also a lovely ride!).
Think it also starts in the Innerleithen village this year too and roll out is a very pleasant 12:00 which gets the Transcend Enduro lot out of the way first I think, so shouldn't get lost in the crowd so much this year. It was super popular with everyone that rode it last year so I'd expect it will be bigger and better this year, it's even got it's own sponsor.!
I just signed up a couple of days ago too never having done any 'gravel' riding, my current Tripster AT winter bike will be getting refitted with big rubber and less mudguards! Think it'll be a hoot. Hopefully the weather is as good as last year too, was scorching with clear blue skies.
