in the past i used sram attack. now got 10 spd and want a gripshifter
is there one available?
Wait for more informed replies but I think only the named gripshift work with Shim, ie the Attack you mention.
Trouble is, they never did a 10spd did they, only up to 9??
Apparently 9speed shifters can be modded to be 10 speed.
ive not done it myself but I know the weight weenie site had plenty of info back when the 9-10 speed change happened and sram hadn’t initially made their new gripshift.
Get a sram mech to go with it.
IIRC people were mating Dynasis 10 speed mechs with 9 speed SRAM "Exact Actuation" shifters to have a 9 speed clutched drivetrain a few years ago, I never heard of anyone attempting to do the same with 10 speed though...
From the tables here there looks to be 0.3mm more cable pulled per click with Dynasis 10 speed than SRAM, therefore I'd say its unlikely to work, certainly not across a whole cassette.
I can imagine some modifications being done, working a little dremel magic to make it possible, but you'd need to pull a grifshift apart and have a look to see if it's really viable/worth the effort...
