Are they Shimano compatible?
(For the wife's bike, so don't need Gripshift opinions, s'what she's used to)
Front is, but I think (note 'think' before i get corrected) you may need a sram rear mech. My partner loves them - no broken nails!!! 🙂
All fronts are! Its the rear thats important (madam).
Gotta work the old STX-RC mech ain't it.
pretty sure only the Sram Attack shifters are shimano compatible, you may have to do some model number research. It's all about cable pull ratios
I think they're 2:1 (ie shimano) - I was looking for cheap ones recently & saw these (ended up with some shimano somethingorothers instead)
suppose they'll be on SRAM site (as MRX though ??)
Cheers, I'll check that. Still waiting for the seller to give me an answer.. bit slow.
what do you do about grips? cut down normal slip-on ones, buy special short ones, or make do?
Gripshift specific (short) ones.
Found them, thanks scaredypants - I thought it said "MAX" - MRX is actually the Shimano compatible ones.
yep those are shimano compatible ...
