i removed my grips the other day and have tried to refit them but they won't stick using hairspay for some reason, any ideas why?

Superglue or paint.

+1 GT85 Stripe aint joking

I always ended up stretching the grips when removing.
Also found Fairy liquid helps them back on and dries like superglu.
Gone for lock on's after destroying too many grips when chnaging bits.
Think shimano has a new clamp on shifters soon so you don't need to remove grips anymore to swap gear levers-yay!
lock-ons all the way!!
