My girlfriend has a new to her secondhand Pashley town bike with fairly narrow section 700c wheels and the stock grips are erm, awful. They are brown imitation cork (rubbery) ergonomic things that have rotated on the bar so the ergo bit is now pointing into your palm. They don't do much to soak up vibration either.

I am going to replace them but not sure what with. MTB lockon grips will ruin the looks so I was thinking of something like these:

Any other suggestions for suitable grips that will fit reasonably with the looks of a Pashley?

Also any suggestions to fix rattles from mudguards etc? It sounds like it is breaking up on re-entry to earths atmosphere unless the road is glass smooth!
