Yes, stayed at Green Lanterns. Decent enough place, though not modern décor. Has a nice little steak house place on site, and a farm with horsey place.

It's Neath side, and hadn't realised at the time but could have ridden from the place into the back of Afan (e.g. pop out by the bike park and Bryn Bettws). We drove long way round to Glyncorrwg.

Afan Lodge is popular and dedicated to MTB. Has a bar/restaurant. Never stayed there but I get a 'YHA' feel from the stuff I see, though bit more upmarket.

Bryn Bettws is another popular MTB place, which is halfway up the hill right on the trails.

Afan lodge really doesn't feel like a YHA when you stay there. I'd say Bryn Bettws is more like that especially given the bunk beds.

Not that there's much wrong with YHA really. Nice one near Talybont at Brecon for example.

The bunk beds at Bryn Bettws are beyond a joke and the rooms are tiny even without 4 mountain bikers plus gear in there. The ladies running the place are friendly (even with a collection of their kids running riot at times) and food is decent enough in a tinned veg sort of way but I find a decent kip is impossible so couldn't recommend . It's all just very tired .
