I'm staying nearby Great torrington for a family holiday in June and just wondering if it's worth taking a bike? If so, what type of riding is available? Thanks in advance.

For trail / path riding the 'Devon Coast to Coast', 'Tarka Trail' and 'West Country Way' all run through Torrington:

The best mountain biking is a short hop away on Exmoor, and there are lots of great circuits up there:

Yeah Exmoor is where you need to be heading.

Torrington is closer to Dartmoor, there'll be someone along in a minute to point out some trails there...

I'm working in GT (not sure where the 'G' came from) this week, local lads say there's some stuff in the woods around the town but its fairly muddy & takes weeks to dry out.
I can be on the north edge of Dartmoor or the south edge of Exmoor in under half an hours drive & Haldon is only 45 minutes away (holds up much better after rain)
